Because we need multiple chances to give thanks.
I know it’s been pretty quiet around the kitchen lately. I’m sorry for that. I’ve really been meaning to post, honest! I could start in on all the excuses–strep throat, work, cold and snow, traveling–but that would just sound like whining.
So, because it was pretty standard as holidays go, rather than post a detailed recap of our pre-Thanksgiving feast and our actual Thanksgiving dinner, I’ll just high-light with photos. In the next few days, I’ll post some recipes, so if something really catches your eye let me know.
Obviously I didn’t do all the cooking. These meals took an army of cooks with well-planned, coordinated efforts 😉 At least that’s the story I’m going to tell. If the pictures make you hungry, hopefully you have leftovers hiding somewhere in the fridge. Enjoy!
Don’t worry, we didn’t leave the thermometer in while cooking.
One of my lovely sisters took this photo. She’s pretty much good at everything!
There you have it! Two Thanksgiving meals in photos. When the effects of strep are fading away, I’ll share some more details. Until then, I promise not to breath on you.

That looks delicious. I think my favorite picture is Colin eating the turkey leg. He looks like he means business!
He had pretty much claimed the leg as the turkey was going in the oven. He loves the legs 😉
